Are you careful to get the necessary exercise from your golf rounds – but think that it is, from time to time, to much strain to push or carry your clubs?

Colored displays, speed adjustments, distance functions, and automatic breaks are some of the functions that an electrical push cart offers. Most electrical carts have modern lithium batteries with great performance and durability.

Great pick with a very responsive remote control. Although the cart lacks follow function it certainly makes up for it by having a quick and responsive remote control where the cart can climb 25-degree slopes without any problem. The follow function is something to get used to and is not completely necessary.

Everything you need is included – umbrella-, cup- and scorecard holder. The electrical push cart even has a USB port for charging your phone or GPS watch which is a great addition.

This particular cart is lightweight and easy to maneuver. It does not take up that much space and is easy to store in the back of your trunk. The golf bag sits nice and sturdy with the elastic ball straps and does not wobble as many carts do.

The reviews of this product are outstanding, excerpt below:

… this bat-caddy x3r handles the courses with ease. I admit, the first time I used it I was distracted by the fun I was having controlling the cart with the remote but was so pleased to not be exhausted at the end of the round due to the push cart. This cart has delivered as promised and the battery was more than half charged after a full 18 on a pretty long course …

Spin It – GC1R Easy Trek Remote Controlled Electric Golf Cart

Dimensions:34 x 24 x 14 inches (H x L x W)

Weight: 55 lbs.

Steering – Remote Control/Follow: Remote Control

Pro’s: Great value, strong motor and extra handle-remote control

  • Strong reliable motors at 200W
  • Max speed 5 MPH (8kmh) and can climb hills at 25 degrees
  • Surprisingly long-lasting battery for up to 36 holes and pretty quick charging
  • The remote control can make the cart go forward, sideways and backward, which is appreciated
  • Pre-sets speed at 3 different speed levels
  • Cart frame weights 30 pounds and battery at 25 pounds. The battery weight is a bit over the market average
  • On-handle remote control. This is a great function when you do not want to bring out your remote control for every move or if you lost it

The clear pro with this cart is its price. It can be up to 25%-45% cheaper than other carts with the same performance. The motor is strong and the battery is long-lasting. Another great application is the speed adjustment that you won’t always find on more expensive carts.

On the con side is that user reviews have reported weak customer support and that the cart is a bit bulkier than market peers.

Overall, a good electrical push cart that will do what it is supposed to do without any bells and whistles.

6 Things to look for when buying your Electrical Push Cart

1. Follow me or Remote control Steering

You can think of the “follow me” function more as an extra finesse rather than the main thing. Most golfers who use carts with the follow me function will use the remote control around greens or bunkers. Therefore, the follow-me function will be great for open fairways or the long walking distance between holes.

Most golfers usually send the cart to the next tee when approaching green with the putter in hand. How and when to use the different functions will come to you as you start using your new electrical pushcart.

2. Battery life and charging

When thinking of the battery life of your bag, you should consider really how important it is that it can manage 2 complete golf rounds. Most golfers play one round, and then return either home or to the office to drop off their bag. This is also usually when you would charge the cart. NovaCaddy is really ahead of the curve here.

Therefore, you should consider if the battery life is really what you should focus on – since all electrical pushcarts at least manage one round. The time it takes to charge the battery would be another consideration.

3. Size, weight and folded dimensions of the electrical push cart

To be frank, an electrical push cart does not take up that much more space than a standard pushcart. It folds easily and fit together with your golf bag in almost any car. It does, however, weight more which should be something to consider. The battery and wheels are usually removable which means that the different parts themselves are not overwhelmingly heavy. You can probably use all kinds of golf bags in combination with a electrical push cart, but make sure to check out our review of golf bags to get the one for you.

4. What’s the difference between a Cheap or Premium Electrical Push Cart?

“What you pay is what you get” pretty much apply in this instance. Being cheap and buying the least expensive one could, if you are unlucky, end up being more expensive than buying a moderate priced one. Most come with a great warranty but the customer support does vary.

With premium carts, you usually get a better battery, more functions (like the “follow me”-function), better quality and stronger motor. Also, neat features like 4-wheel drive included umbrella holder and so on.

With budget electrical carts you will probably have a weaker battery that may need replacing earlier and weaker motors. They often do the job they are supposed to do, but the margins of error are usually higher.

5. How much are electrical push carts?

The absolutely cheapest ones are usually around $400-600. The more average price would be around $900-$1,800 and the premium carts are up to $2,500. We would advise to keep in the average price range or maybe even in the premium one.

Compared to a golf cart that is usually around $6,000-$15,000, an electrical push cart is both cheaper and better for your health!

Buying one online is probably the way to go, as customer service is almost always high, the prices are definitely lower and shipping is down to record levels.

6. How long does an Electrical Push Cart last?

It can last for how long as you’d like! (Almost). Most electrical push carts are usually constructed in better and stronger material than normal push carts, the battery is replaceable and they would probably never “go out of style”.

Therefore, an investment in one is probably life long – both for your health and for your wallet!
