Complete Review of The Best Golf Clubs for Ladies |
Across the world, not limited to Golf, women’s influence in sport is growing and our cultural perception and valuation of women’s sports are emerging strongly. A few decades ago, golf manufacturers didn’t cater to women as well as what they do now if they did at all back then! In the 21st century, however, it’s a different ball game… non-literally. The LPGA Tour really push to show this.
Golf is a sport of fine margins, so if your clubs don’t fit your height, preferred weight or are simply of average quality, then your performance will suffer.
A lot of women use Men’s golf clubs, and while this may seem harmless, it’s important to realize that there are genuine reasons why there are different clubs for Men and Women to use. For the most part, this isn’t a marketing ploy as you may expect. On the flip side, many golfers, men, and women, buy poor-quality golf clubs that are of little use on the course.
Golf clubs are an investment toward your ongoing performance to increase your scores, handicap and most importantly… fun. So, it’s important to buy the best clubs you can to help you achieve greater shots, maximize your performance and fulfill your enjoyment.
Golfing pressures aside, and you may still try to rationalize buying better clubs for golfing reasons, but when it comes to buying something for a hobby then why not treat yourself, right?
We’re going to advise you of the best golf clubs that are suitable for women and the key features of each set, as well as our comprehensive Review & Buyers Guide.
Let’s talk you through the best 5 ladies’ golf clubs that are available to buy now…

Knight Golf Women’s Complete Set
Pros:
• Powerful Driver
• Easy-to-Hit Clubs
• Great Starter Set
Best used as a solid starter set, and marketed as so, we wouldn’t recommend this for those who play at a high level. The clubs have been designed to be easy-to-use and easy-to-hit. They’re weighted-well of graphite and steel, making it a great all-rounder set to start with.
This is an ideal set to use whilst you suss out your game and what you want from your next, more-tailored set. That said, the clubs perform well and are very comfortable to use. The bag has plenty of storage space and comes with matching covers from the Driver and Fairway Wood. The driver itself is very powerful and enjoyable to use.

Female Golf Clubs Review & Buyers Guide
Don’t worry if you haven’t chosen a favorite just yet! It’s fine to have a preference from the above, or we hope at the very least to have inspired you. Go back to looking at them after this reading this. There’s more to a set than simply suiting your playing style and you need to know what to look for when buying a set of Women’s golf clubs…
The Key Differences between Women’s and Men’s Clubs
Whereas once pink features were slapped onto standard clubs and advertised as a Ladies set, luckily in more recent times this isn’t the case! Ladies clubs are typically 1 inch shorter than Men’s and are designed with more flexible shafts for slower swings, but you may wish to disregard them if you have a fast swing, 80mph and above. Coinciding with this, if you’re taller than the average woman, you may prefer Men’s clubs. This may also be the case if you simply prefer weightier clubs. You may find that professional women often use Men’s clubs as they are of maximized design to enable optimal performance.
What to Look For in Ladies Beginners Golf Clubs
A lot of golfers start with a few clubs to practice on the course, but we strongly recommend that you buy a set of clubs. Doing so works out cheaper overall, looks more professional and feels more enjoyable. Having a set will likely add to your motivation to play.
Although clubs designed for ladies are generally shorter and fit well, we advise that you remain skeptical if you’re especially petite or especially tall. Women’s clubs are generally lighter in weight, so a standard set should be fine. If you categorize yourself as preferring lightweight clubs but have never owned a Women’s set, then you may want to refrain from purchasing a lightweight Women’s set until you’ve tried the standard weight.
Women’s clubs are designed with smaller heads and shorter shafts for more control over swings, so you should consider if you prefer experiencing a heavier swing. If so, look for a stainless steel set rather than graphite. Be sure to also look for adjustable loft angles, or simply lower loft angles. The ideal clubs designed for ladies should also have smaller diameters and larger club heads for cleaner shots.
The Cost of Ladies Golf Clubs
Although there isn’t a set difference of cost between Men’s and Women’s sets, some do appear to be slightly cheaper than Men’s. Whether this is down to the clubs being slightly cheaper to make due to less height and weight, who’s to say… but they’re more-or-less the same price. For casual golfers, but still in need of a decent set of clubs, golf clubs for ladies typically range between $125-325.
For beginners, we still advise you to get a full set but perhaps at the lower end of this price range. Get a more basic set that may even be marketed as ‘for beginners’. If you love your hobby or play to a good level then we advise that you perhaps even go above-and-beyond the price. There would be no need to, as you’ll find a good set, but the feel of having a state-of-the-art golf set is a special, unique feeling.
How to find Ladies Golf Clubs
They should be advertised as so, but be careful not to purchase Men’s clubs. Any major golfing retail store will sell golf clubs for ladies, but you may struggle to find a good selection in more-general sports stores, particularly if you’re left-handed or petite.
If you’re either, or perhaps even both petite and left-handed — stick to looking online! Otherwise, try our hand-picked recommended selection above. This said, don’t forget to consider that you may prefer Men’s clubs for a few reasons. Be sure to re-read the above if you’re unsure…
Golf Clubs for Petite Ladies
We’ve added a couple of sets ideal for petite ladies in our recommended list, but you may find petite versions of a lot of other leading models, as well as specially-made petite sets, which we would recommend. Buy online if you struggle to find any.
Golf Clubs for Left-Handed Women
Although you may have less choice of sets that suit left-handed women, rejoice in that this simplifies the buying process. There are still some fantastic sets available to buy, but note that better selections will be found online.

Golf Balls
In addition to your golf clubs, among other things, you are going to need golf balls. We took the opportunity to complete a full guide of golf balls for all levels and including a special section for women golf balls.
Did you know that using softer golf balls will increase distance? When having a slower golf swing, you need a softer golf ball to increase compression in the ball, which will increase distance!
